BPNE becomes the first Hungarian company with a NATO SAPIENT certificate

At NATO TIE26 in the Netherlands, the vendor- and sensor-neutral BPNE C2 platform was validated in a multinational, multi-vendor environment and earned a NATO SAPIENT certificate.

BPNE Zrt. has become the first Hungarian company to obtain a NATO SAPIENT certificate for a vendor- and sensor-neutral Command & Control (C2) system — a milestone for both the BPNE team and Hungary.

The certification validates that the BPNE drone-defence C2 platform can communicate and operate within NATO-standard environments. Systems of this kind play a critical role in protecting borders, military installations and critical infrastructure by enabling the coordinated detection, tracking and neutralisation of unmanned aerial threats.

After months of coordination and development alongside the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) and industry partners, the BPNE C2 platform took part in NATO TIE26, the Technical Interoperability Exercise held in the Netherlands, where it demonstrated interoperability and connectivity within NATO-standard environments.

During the exercise the platform was successfully integrated into the NATO SAPIENT environment and validated in a multinational, multi-vendor operational setting. It exchanged data with external sensors, effectors and command systems while supporting both primary and secondary C2 operational roles.

The exercise confirmed the platform's ability to receive, process and distribute real-time sensor data, manage tasking workflows, coordinate multiple systems and operate within NATO-standard command structures.

The achievement marks an important step in BPNE's journey toward next-generation C4ISR capabilities and reinforces the company's commitment to advancing integrated air defence and counter-UAS solutions.
