As the only Hungarian company on site, BPNE neutralised a coordinated drone swarm with high-power electronic warfare at NATO's LCI-X Eastern Phoenix experimental C-UAS exercise in Romania.

BPNE took part in NATO's Crucible 1-26 (Eastern Phoenix) experimental counter-drone exercise in Romania, representing Hungary as the only Hungarian company on site.

Swarm-based drone threats are rapidly reshaping modern warfare and defence operational environments, from Ukraine to the Middle East, making effective countermeasures and electronic warfare one of the most critical capability areas today.

One of the most important results at LCI-X Eastern Phoenix was the successful neutralisation of a coordinated drone swarm using high-power electronic warfare. In a live scenario, the swarm was disrupted immediately upon jamming activation, resulting in loss of control and mission failure across the threat.

Equally significant was rapid deployment performance: full system readiness was achieved within 30 to 60 minutes of arrival, demonstrating the level of agility required for real-world operations.

The exercise reinforced the growing importance of scalable, field-ready electronic warfare solutions capable of responding effectively to evolving unmanned threats.

As a next step, BPNE continued this work at the TIE exercise in the Netherlands, focusing on further validation and integration in a NATO-aligned environment.
